NEUTRAL FOR SPRING: ALDO SHOES’ CONTESSINA CHELSEA BOOTS
I love boots. Though pumps and high heels are generally the prettiest in my collection as they are naturally dainty and has a wider range of style variation, I find boots offer the best of both worlds when it comes to style and comfort.
#WHATIWORE: Jeans and Grandpa cardigan – Banana Republic, Cami top – RW & Co., Blush purse (Elevator) and Contessina Booties – ALDO Shoes (c/o), Filigree earrings – Park Lane Jewelry (c/o via Janique Simard Ouellette), Tassel necklace – gifted, Fedora hate – Chapters Indigo and Camel coat – Le Chateau. Sunglasses – Burberry via Smart Buy Glasses (c/o). For more photos, visit us in Facebook here.
As someone who gets cold feet, both literally and figuratively (though I’ve yet become a runaway bride except that time I had to return an engagement ring but that’s a story for another day!), boots are the perfect answer for making sure my feet is all warm and cozy yet at the same time, chic and fashionable.
BIG THANK YOU to the Wakefield Mill Hotel and Spa and Tourism Outaouais for making this happen. #OUTAOUAISFUN
ALDO SHOES’ DESERT COLLECTION
Truth be told however, I prefer tall boots. Tall, black, suede leather boots to be exact. In fact, I have about 10 pairs very similar to each other you can’t pick one out of a line-up. But since Spring is coming (please tell me it’s really coming, non?), I have to find lighter options to go with the season and I think I’ve found a gorgeous collection of spring ready shoes and booties from ALDO Shoes’ Desert Collection.
ALDO SHOES’ CONTESSINA CHELSEA BOOTS
Inspired by the neutral earth tones of the dessert, the Contessina Chelsea Boots are part part of ALDO’s Desert Collection with bone, deep blue and black as the main featured colours. While the collection has everything you need for a neutral look this spring: pumps, heels, flats and purses, I opted for the Contessina Booties in Natural, which is made of real suede leather and are topped with tassels tied with a loose knot on the side.

WEEKEND OUTFIT WITH NEUTRALS
Though I originally planned to style these boots with a dress or a maxi skirt, the beautiful landscape at the famed Wakefield Mill Hotel and Spa called for a more casual, more rugged look so I opted for these slightly ripped jeans from Banana Republic along with this striped cami top from RW & Co., topped with this heavy set metallic grandpa cardigan and in contrast, worn with these Filigree Turquoise earrings from Park Lane Jewelry and this feather light tassel and beads necklace to match the Contessina Booties.

I must say, I REALLY LOVE how this combination turned out. I think I’m a terrible weekend dresser where my idea of a post workweek attire is either Breakfast at Tiffany’s or forever lounging in a Yoga studio outfit. Layers are not my thing, the less items of clothing I can put on, the better.
BUT… since wearing only a one-piece swimsuit all-year round is neither appropriate or practical, I have to put more effort in mixing and matching items and layers together. And I think this neutral combo for spring is a street style win!
