Such a copy cat. Granted, I can’t find a better post title than CHANNELING JESSICA ALBA’S PINK SKIRT PERFECTION, I think you can totally understand why I’m SO excited for this post. First of all, I just DEFIED winter! Yes, I totally took my jacket off in the middle of the cold, freezing rain weather that is typical of Canadian winter. Didn’t I mention 2016 is the year for living BOLDY?
Yes Sir, it is!
Second of all, this is sorta like my first time since I got back of really doing a #WhatIWore #OOTD post, with a photo shoot outside in the bloody (excuse, I’m English! As in I speak English, of course) no less! Third of all and certainly the most exciting part (for me at least but as you can tell by my enthusiasm, it’s infectious, non?), I’ve found the right pieces to channel this pink and black combo perfection!
JESSICA ALBA OUTSHINES MODELS AT RALPH LAUREN NYFW FASHION SHOW
Though it’s not my usual style to copy celebrity’s looks (I’m a rebel, HELLO!), this outfit rocked by Jessica Alba definitely took my and the entire Internet’s breath away. Just GOOGLE (yes, apparently an official verb in the dictionary) “Jessica Alba Pink Skirt” and you’ll get pages and pages of hits, including endless fashion coverage from major style online publications such as InStyle.com, POPSUGAR, Who What Wear and even the Daily Mail UK!
Taking on ballerina-inspired look in a world of haute couture is absolutely refreshing, isn’t it? Obviously Jessica Alba’s soft pink midi skirt that flowed beautifully was brilliant but adding the black crop top sweater is genius! It made the look chic and sophisticated rather than saccharine sweet if she went all ballerina from top to bottom! The top to bottom Ralph Lauren was so memorable that it instantly became a fashion inspiration.

JESSICA ALBA’S PINK SKIRT + BLACK SWEATER – MY WAY
That’s why channeling it felt extra special that I felt wonderful (oh my joy is cheap!) wearing it all day! As crop top would’ve been crazy (it’s winter, may I remind ya?), I thought topping my pleated tutu skirt from Banana Republic with this classic crew neck black sweater was a close enough copy cat! And of course, no open toe sandals so high heeled black pumps it is!
What do you think of the pink skirt and black sweater look? Do you have a style celebrity crush?
