Many years ago when I first came to Canada, the concept of cottages fascinated me. We didn’t really have one of those back home as we live in an archipelago which means everyone literally lives in an island big or small and so we did. We lived in a island where the beach was close by and since we only had two official seasons – wet or dry (glorious summer days or monsoon rainy days), we didn’t pack to go to a cottage, which seems like a very Canadian thing to do.
