For what seemed like FOREVER, we waited with bated breath for it. Every time the sun breaks out of the grey sky, we look outside longingly and wish summer is here and now it is and we couldn’t be more excited! There are so much to do, people to see, places to visit and of courses, beaches to lay on and swim in! As summer seems to come and go as quick as culotte came and went as the new hot spring trend, we must take advantage of its numbered days and just start spending as much time as we can outside. Of course, that means having your mani and pedi all done up to match your perfectly chosen summer outfits!
While yes, going to the spa or the nail salon is a good option, sometimes, we just don’t have the time and the luxury for it. And let’s face it, regular manis and pedis at around $60 to $80 a pop is not a quick write off for the wallet. I’d rather spend a bit more of that on experiences this summer. I have so many things I want to check off in the to-do bucket list and summer’s too short a time period to do them all so any test proven shorts cuts / life hacks is more than welcome in my world and I’m sure in yours too!
This is where the new Dr. Scholl’s Express Pedi comes in!
GET #EXPRESSPEDI AS EASY AS 1-2-3
As I mentioned before, I’ve found a wonderful nail salon in Gatineau (Nancy’s Nails, right beside the Les Promenades de Gatineau!) that charges me a ridiculously low price of $30 for both mani and pedi. Yes, I don’t mean $30 for a mani and another $30 for a pedi, it’s for both!!! Alas, as much as that’s a price that remains unbeatable anywhere in National Capital Region, I realize YOU just don’t always have the time to sit down for a full mani and pedi. So here’s a definite summer must-have, a DIY alternative to getting salon-like pedi results with Dr. Scholl’s Express Pedi. It’s a portable device that’s a hard skin remover that buffs and smooths away hardened skin caused by running, working out, high heels and just overall, everyday activities. And what’s even better? Using it is as easy as 1-2-3!
HOW TO SAVE MONEY + SAVE TIME WITH DR. SCHOLL’S #EXPRESSPEDI
How does it work?
The advanced spin technology gently removes rough skin, corns and callouses for smooth results. unique roller surface is safer and more effective than sharp metal hard skin removers. Rolling at a very high speed rate, the Dr. Scholl’s #ExpressPedi is a good and safe option to have salon-like results – in the comfort of you own home while saving money.
How does it buff skin?
In contrast to those metal and blade scraper they have at the nail salon, the roller has no sharp edges, it doesn’t cut into your skin while it buffs your rough areas away. Aside from that, the Roller Head with long lasting micro-abrasive particles now comes with finely ground diamond crystals.
How is it powered?
It is battery operated (you need 2 AA batteries, which are included) and it is portable so you can use it in the bathroom, bedroom or living room while watching the new season of Netlfix’s . Though if do it in a place other than the bathroom, we suggest putting a towel or paper towel underneath to catch all the icky dry, dead skin cells that will be sloughed off like winter snow flakes by Dr. Scholl’s #ExpressPedi Foot Smoother.
ENJOY A PEDI-PERFECT SUMMER
Did you know that the Dr. Scholl’s Pedi Foot Smoother features an antimicrobial treatment that destroys 99.9% of bacteria on the roller surface? That’s only one of the great features that this handy dandy device offers. The finely ground diamond crystals will buff away hard skin leaving you with fabulous visibly smooth feet. Do remember however that Dr. Scholl’s Express Pedi does not replace an actual pedicure. It is not for your cuticles or nails and of course, you would need to apply your nail polish just like they would at the salon. It is a quick and economic alternative to buffing away hardened or dead and dry skin that you can do yourself rather than by a nail professional. But know this, the new handy dandy Express Pedi is a fantastic tool to remove callous, cracked and peeling skin and you can see the results instantly.
