If I was smarter, I would’ve bought a bunch of tickets for the NORDSTROM Gala last year, wait for everything to get SOLD OUT, as it is, and sell them all on E-Bay for good gains and donate them to charity. In all honesty, I received two major types of e-mails and messages (and I do mean I get a lot of these) over Facebook these days – all related to the much anticipated NORDSTROM Grand Opening in the national capital. One, asking where and if they can still purchase NORDSTROM Ottawa Gala tickets. And Two, asking WHAT TO WEAR to the NORDSTROM Ottawa Gala.
This is the very reason that compelled me to write these fashion guide post. We are exactly 3 days away from the gala and 5 days away from NORDSTROM Grand Opening at the Rideau Centre. While I am sorry to disappoint you guys that the tickets have been absolutely, 100% SOLD OUT, this is very positive news to the two organizations this gala will benefit – the United Way Ottawa and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
NORDSTROM OTTAWA GALA (MARCH 4, 2015 7-10 PM)
Perhaps the one event that is highly talked about in the city right now, the NORDSTROM Ottawa Gala is stirring all kinds of buzz for the right reason. This will be the first time that the public (the ones with tickets and invitations, of course, as well as the media) will have the opportunity to visit and actually shop at the store before it’s official grand opening. Part of the excitement is obviously looking forward to what everyone will be wearing.
NORDSTROM OTTAWA BEAUTY BASH (MARCH 6, 2015 7:30-9:30 PM)
As we’ve covered Ottawa Fashion quite significantly, we also want to make sure nothing is amiss at the beauty department! Just before Nordstrom Ottawa open its shiny brand new doors to the public at 9:30 on Friday, there’s a Nordstrom Beauty Bash at 7:30-9:30 am! Love make-up, skincare, lots and lots of cosmetics? This one beautiful event is for you! Make sure you head there early! The first 2,000 shoppers to get through the door gets a limited edition Nordstrom tote bag! How exciting is that!
