They call it the lazy chic girl’s guide to great hair style and while there’s no doubt to that, the Ponytail is also the biggest time saver in the winter. Since it gets so inhumanely cold outside, washing your hair everyday is no longer option even if, like mine, your hair tends to be on the oily side. So, what’s a frozen girl gotta to do?
A quick and pretty high ponytail hairdo. Perhaps the easiest beauty challenge so far by Fashion Magazine’s Beauty Panel (we have been an official member/Contributor for Fashion Canada for a couple of years now), I can’t really call this a challenge but very much part of repertoire. You can one that with a big volume ponytail by teasing your hair or if you work in a more conservative environment like I do, I opted for a sleeker version. I flipped my hair upside down, blow dried from the roots with a few spritz of dry shampoo to up the volume and tied it up with a simple elastic that’s almost the same colour as my hair.
Products used: On hair – SIBU Beauty Miracle Stick, Klorane Dry Shampoo and Goody Elastic. On the face – SST Cosmetics Inc. BB Cream, SST Cosmetics Inc. Power Stay Shadow Stick and Chantecaille Mascara from Nordstrom Ottawa.
To keep it smooth and elegant, I used SIBU Beauty’s Miracle Stick, a true blue versatile product which you can use for hair, face and skin. It literally is a multi-purpose beauty product that can calm down irritated or inflamed skin, it promotes rapid healing and recovery, say on a sunburn or an itch, and in my case, an impromptu hair gel. Since I don’t use foundations on most days, the SST Cosmetics Inc. BB Cream (Colour: Skintone) was the perfect ‘cover-up’ with a touch of the SST Cosmetics Inc. Power Stay Shadow Stick in Ivory Pearl and a swipe of Chantecaille Mascara. The whole process took less most people’s fancy order at Starbucks. Big win especially during the winter, yes?
