As much as try not talking about the weather, I have to admit it’s really, really difficult not to.
I know Canadians get a lot of rap that we can’t seem to have interesting conversations other than how cold it is outside but let’s face it, the winter season is such a pervasive fact in our lives that it dictates so many things from December to the end of March.
9 TO 5 FASHION: WHAT TO WEAR TO WORK DURING THE WINTER
One of these things is the way we dress. A smart Canadian would continuously check the temperature to determine one’s appropriate apparel for the day, which makes office wear a little hard (at least for me) to put together.
NO MORE CHUNKY MONKEY
In an effort to break out from the usual chunky, heavy uniform for the winter, I thought a pop of colour and a dash of shine with this L’Wren Scott Holiday Cardigan would perk up this classic black and cream striped dress from Banana Republic.
COLD WEATHER FASHION: STYLISH STRIPES AND SEQUINS
Adding a bejeweled belt ups the ante a bit more and opting or a coated gold bucket bag is the perfect complement to a festive office outfit. I realized the holidays are over but I reckon, a little glam never killed anyone, so there’s that.
Did I tell you I’m quite the rebel?
