TAKE YOUR BLOG TO THE NEXT LEVEL: JOIN US AT SPARK SESSIONS IN TORONTO

Sparksessions-DETAILS

Over the course of the next few weeks between Canadian Thanksgiving and the American one, we’ll be provided with plenty of opportunity to reflect on things and people and opportunities that we are thankful and grateful for. Chief amongst mine like many of you is family and friends and a great career but also, this little slice of the internet we call our own. Though I admittedly did not have a clear vision of what and where I wanted this blog to be, it’s been completely transformed into something I did not originally imagine possible.

We now appear on TV regularly, had our own radio show and is currently in talks about launching another one, we get quote requests from newspapers and magazines for our thoughts on certain trending topics of the day, we get these great invites to amazing events and store openings and I can go on and on but there is actually something that is more valuable beyond the perceived glamour and the glitter of a being a blogger. I do say perceived as while there are certainly truth to this, the other side of being a successful blogger is what actually happens behind the scenes: the constant hard work, the non-stop hustling and the endless quest to produce content that are both engaging and insightful.

WHAT’S THE SECRET INGREDIENT OF A SUCCESSFUL BLOG?

That something more valuable is actually relationships. Behind every deal a blogger seals, a product he receives or a campaign she promotes is a good relationship, between the brand, the blogger, the PR agency and whoever is involved in the process. There is a mutual trust and respect from both parties, which is based on the relationship they’ve established and cultivated. And herein lays the secret to blogging success, building relationships that are solid, mutually beneficial and one that leaves you just feeling warm and fuzzy at the end of the day.

One these great relationships I’ve built through the years is with my dear friend Elaine, Founder of Toronto Beauty Reviews, a very successful Canadian beauty and fashion blog based in Toronto. Elaine Atkins (seated row: second from left) is also one of the founding members and part of the Executive Team of Sparks Sessions, which is comprised of Fashion and Beauty Bloggers who are currently on top of their game and trust me, you would want to learn from them.

WANT TO TAKE YOUR BLOG TO THE NEXT LEVEL?

While I can think of 101 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD GO TO SPARK SESSIONS (Hmnn, that would make another great and potentially viral blog post, wouldn’t it?), one of the main reason I would urge to attend Spark Sessions, Canada’s first fashion and beauty blogger conference, is to build and improve upon your relationships, old and new. This is a chance to not only learn innovative ways to increasingly better your blogs but to also find that SPARK, that creative fuel that would continue to light up the fire of your blogging spirit.
