@20YS HOLIDAY GUIDE 2013: MY PERSONAL CHRISTMAS WISH LIST

It’s been absolutely fun and magical sharing with you guys our Twenty York Street’s top picks for this holiday (#20YSHOLIDAYS). Part of this guide is my annual Christmas Wish list, which longed replaced my letters to Santa though I may just write on this year for extra insurance.

While browsing over hundreds (literally) of stores, sites, magazines and blogs to give you guys the best of the best, I’ve also learned about myself and what I want a little bit more. Since I finally found a great curling iron that can actually curl my always straight hair (thank you Rowenta Beauty Curl Active!), I think this year, instead of wishing for clothes, jewelleries and materials gifts, I’ll lean towards experiences, opportunities for continuous learning and growth and perhaps lovely things for my home sweet home. Although don’t get me wrong, if you’ve already wrapped that little black dress for me, please, I don’t want to inconvenience you to go exchange it for a cruise to the Mediterranean. Unless you really, really want to!

The real @20Ys. Come take a virtual tour to our home – Twenty York Street!

This year, here’s my TOP 5 CHRISTMAS WISH LIST! Think of this list as more of a guide. Okay, ready?

PARIS

I’m not going to count the years I’ve talked about going to Paris but I believe it has been on my list every single time whether it’s my birthday, Valentines or Christmas. I can’t think of a more magical place to spend the holidays with my loved ones. Well, okay maybe Spain, Italy and Bali (check!).

KICK ASS CANON CAMERA LENSES

Okay maybe not all of these lenses pictured above but then again, if you do feel extra generous this Christmas, send these my way! After all, I have been naughty and not nice! Santa told me (he really did at Rogers Daytime TV!) that I get a lot more exciting presents if I’m naughty this year! Since he’s a Nikon guy and I stubbornly went with CANON, I cannot borrow any of his lenses and therefore settle with whatever lens came with the combo. I just want lens or lenses that would be able to give me high quality photos I need for this blog, any recommendations anyone?

BRAND NEW CHIC, COZY AND COMFY SOFA

One of my first and biggest “adult” purchases, aside from a car of course, was a beautiful micro suede couch that is not from Ikea. This deep red love seat from the designer store Phillip Van Leeuwen set me back quite a bit but I have to say everyone and their mothers who sat/slept on that couch loved it! Now it found a good home at my Aunt’s new place and I think we are ready for a new one! We did rich browns and neutrals at Twenty York Street too, so this time, dark charcoal grey perhaps?

MAD PHOTOSHOP SKILLS

I’m going to sound ungrateful but please do overlook that part. I am so fortunate to have a lot of people, an entire team at SKYFALL BLUE in fact, who helps me here at Twenty York Street. From photographers, to digital artists, web masters, writers, etc. that I didn’t need to learn many of the useful applications  like Photoshop, coding and many other things a blogger (Merci Leanne for a quick tutorial, more coming I hope) should be proficient about. This year, I would really like to try (I did put a disclaimer here Team so don’t abandon me just yet) to be a little more independent and I can really use some workshops to develop some mad mad computer Photoshop skills!

So, there you go! This is me blowing a kiss to Santa hoping he’d check me off the naughty list and put me back in the nice list. Assuming I was ever in that list, of course! On second thought, keep me on the naughty side, I may end up with a lot more exciting gifts from that corner!

What about you, what’s on your Christmas Wishlist?
