TIFF is upon us once again and though you may or may not be anywhere close to the vicinity of all the festivities, these quick beauty and style tips certainly work for any special occasions you’re invited to.

Every red carpet event requires drama; however, do aim for refined drama in order to stand out in stunning and classy way. Pick one area to really shine whether it’s your hair, gown, make-up or your arm candy!
TIFF is one perfect example of a parade of one glamorous evening gown after another. To avoid looking too costume-y, opt for understated elegance with your hair or make-up. Top buns and French braids may be trending this season but if there’s anything that’s always been a red carpet classic is straight hair. Just look at Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Angelina Jolie and of course, Jennifer Aniston!
Create volume by applying dry shampoo in short bursts while blow-drying. Brush the hair smooth, part naturally and finish with an extra hold hair spray to keep the smoothness and the shape all night! Not only that this look does not take hours to accomplish, it gives you plenty of time to rub shoulders with celebrities while looking effortlessly chic all evening long!
While we opt for easy-to-do hairstyles (check below for products used), our dear friend, Toronto Beauty Reviews’ Elaine Atkins showed us she was not afraid to go for dramatic eyes and statement lips to really stand out from the crowd.
Since it’s also Fashion Week all over the world, stay tuned this week for Twenty York Street’s coverage on all things fashion week and our very exciting #FORDFIESTA diary!
