All year I’ve been pining for this. All year I’ve day dreamed of lazy weekend sipping fresh frozen daiquiris in some patios looking out to the sea. All year I can almost see the bronze coming back to my skin and all year, I kept hoping for the days to fly by faster until it’s finally summer!

And then it came. Like a much awaited online purchase that finally came in the mail after hours of tracking it down Canada Post or the FedEx Customer Service Department only to realize that the dress is a tad too big and cheap looking. Summer came exactly like that.
It’s arrival brimming with promises of glorious days or warmth and sun. Of unending evening under the stars with the cool breeze gently blowing your hair like they do in shampoo commercials. Of unlimited fountain of margaritas and coronas to quench your thirst as the heat
Alas, real summer it is not.

Summer has been quite temperamental in the capital that I don’t recall ever donning my teeny weeny polka dot bikini. Okay fine, I don’t actually have one. But it did sound good in that sentence, didn’t it? (Btw, if I do, I don’t think I have enough guts to pull it off so let’s forget I ever mentioned the subject!)
The comfiest of cork wedges ever, I swear! Cork criss-cross wedges from GAP CANADA.
The point is – this summer is not the best weather wise. But when life gives you lemonade, what do you do with it?
You make lemons out of it! In Fashion Blog speak, that means you don your brightest of summer dresses, tousle your hair like you came just came from the Big Sur and you try your darnest to catch the littlest sunshine that comes your way!
