There is something I am extremely excited to share with you – an international organization called Dress for Success (DFS). In 2011, Dress for Success Ottawa opened its doors and to date, DFS outfitted over 275 local Ottawa-area women who are set to enter the workforce.
While Dress for Success Ottawa is best known for providing clients with suits and providing preparations for employment interviews, the employment retention programs are the cornerstone of the organization. DFS recognizes that finding work is only one step in a woman’s journey towards economic independence and this is something I truly support. In order to continue providing these essential services to women in need, Dress for Success Ottawa will host its Second Annual “STEPPING OUT!” on Thursday May 17th at LAGO Bar-Grill-View from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
And guess what?
Twenty York Street was given the utmost honour and privilege not only to be invited to this much anticipated event but I was, in fact, invited to be one of the esteemed judges for the Funky Shoes Competition portion of the evening. See the official invite and poster below:
